I have no qualifications of any kind. Listen to me at your own peril.
My reaction to aripirazole seems to have been a world first. Do not attempt to replicate it.
I am not a doctor and am very lucky to still be alive. The doctors and their drugs nearly killed me. I survived thanks to millennia-old meditation practices and am now trying to revive them so the scientific community will take them seriously.
If you want thorough references and peer-reviewed literature, you might be best off sticking to big pharma and DSM guesswork. If you are going to a doctor already then talk with them if you can. If things get bad then get support from somewhere; a religion is an option, even if you are not religious. I would recommend the theravāda school of buddhism; they canonised the insight maps, after all.
My inferences are from personal experience and the millions of practitioners who have enjoyed the benefit of meditative practices over the course of millennia.
Don't do anything stupid. I am not responsible for you and you are not responsible for me and that is how it is and how it shall always be.
Best of luck on your journey.
