first one experimenting with moving the template from outcut to insert. went through about 5 layers of epoxy and honestly thought it would be a disaster; the right hand picture is how it looked before i peeled and sanded it. 100% undyed and unscorched wood (i still hadn't experiemented with my blowtorch here).
