process
So to clarify I don't think anyone is multithreaded; I think they just switch threads with a lot more ease than me. But for ease of illustration let's say I am single threaded and they are multithreaded. I process simple domino-chain sequential things like logic quickly, while Joe Bloggs processes emotions quickly.
I grab a thread and ride it to the moon, while someone else wrangles their 30 huskies toward the planned destination.
This means that at the outset I have processed a lot more of the logic, and am usually blurting out the next steps, while my conversation partner is like 'wait I'm still processing my emotions'.
Then they're like 'ok the emotions are processed let's talk about them so we can get to logic', but of course I've not touched on the emotions and had the next logical steps 2 weeks ago.
So this can cause miscommunications in terms of empathy and feelings. But also, when the shit hits the fan, this is why you want someone like me there. This is why the divergent people are called for in times of change. They can figure out the next steps while everyone else talks feelings.
One caveat is that sometimes the feelings don't get processed at all, just like that algebra problem that your brain conveniently forgot about.
