Your brain is a river.
When you are a child the river is straight and true and clear of debris. The universe can flow in, through, and out, without obstruction. Everything is full of wonder and awe and there is no friction.
Over time your mind takes form and the river begins to meander and carve a path. This is the path of your personality.
As the years progress, the river begins to accumulate detritus and debris. Storms come through and deposit twigs, branches and trunks.
The river continues flowing but becomes congested and clogged. You stop being able to experience reality.
Eventually these branches form natural dams which your mind has to work around. You find yourself stuck on the same old things time and again.
Your river is unable to flow. The universe is out of your grasp. You become stagnant and stifled, strangled and suffering.
The way that the nibbaba-protocol works is to selectively remove these twigs and branches and trunks.
You start small, with a twig. You line it up for removal using conscious programming of your sim and the morning session where you clear you cmem.
Then you wash it away.
A choppy river might dislodge something but it will get jammed elsewhere; this is why you cannot remove these obstructions through force of will. What we do instead is to lower the waves while increasing overall water volume. We lower dvar while increasing tonic dopamine, and trust that it will work.
We do this through targeted exercise and sequential refinement of focus. Start with the big and proceed to the small.
You might start with a zone 2 bike ride to increased tonic dopamine significantly, then sit down to meditate, rocking back and forth to establish focus and lower dvar. Then when the time is right, you stop moving and just sit. You don’t need to force your mind to a point; let it ebb and flow like the river itself. All you need do is be aware. Expand to the entire body, and come back to your breath. Repeat.
This will result in a pliant, relaxed mind which is flooded with a steady flow of dopamine and has minimal choppiness.
This is when your mind simply picks up the detritus you singled out, and carries it away. Or, at times, a big wave of dvar might come in while the water level is high and wash away a whole blockade.
You may choose to write; you may not. Writing can help but is not necessary. The obstruction will be carried away as you dream, again because of dopamine, and you will have a clearer world when you wake.
You repeat this process, starting with the twigs (a perceived slight from the day) and gradually uncovering the branches (a schoolhood trauma) and eventually the trunks (cultural conditioning of generations).
In this way you remove the junk from your river.
You become able to experience the universe in an unfiltered manner. Joy returns to your life.
You remain yourself; your river still meanders. But you are optimised. Kinder. Happier. Gentler.
The dopaminergic tone is essential.
The conscious selecting of detritus is essential.
An ethical framework is essential.
This is how your change your world.
