So you have 4 basic functions that can alter your sim:
helpdesk
level 1 support / development
level 2 development
level 3 development
Helpdesk are the folks that will try to keep the wheels on the car as it’s hurtling out of control. They can’t really affect any meaningful change to the system. This is you in the middle of a stormy conversation, trying to hold it together. They also go home early.
Level 1 support and development is talk therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. This is ok, to an extent, but it only deals with superficial code. You are not changing the actual structure of the system; all you’re doing is patching things on top as a quick fix. Each patch is another mini-algorithm that is held in your cmem and leads to eventual overload. Over time your brain will become jumbled and loud and inefficient.
Level 2 is where the real development starts to happen. This is your meditation and your cycling and your EMDR. For each step down in level, things get to deeper parts of your brain. The way they do this is through dopamine: crispr for thoughts.
L2 will be able to get pretty deep - far below the superficial layers that can be accessed through human language. Language is inherently limiting because everything is an abstraction. Your emotions and your traumas and your deep-held beliefs are not words; they are feelings and intuition. You need to go beyond the GUI and into the syntax.
Meditation and cycling and EMDR do this. So does art. And music. And group singing and dancing and chanting and anything else that uses your body and your creativity. This is how you begin to unravel some of the deeper algorithms that are overwhelming you.
For the most part, even for deep trauma, L2 is all you’ll need. You need to use it before you need it though. Once you reach overload you are right back to helpdesk, and helpdesk are f*cking useless, if you pardon the language.
Level 3 is where shit gets real. This is what I am trying to figure out how to access in a secular manner so that we can really optimise and fix that deep, kernel-level imprinting that harms so many of us. The childhood abuse and other really deep shit that can’t even be seen.
It can be changed, but only by a L3 guru. And you have to work to find these people. They hide away and they don’t advertise themselves; you have to go to them. The way you do that is through the L2 folks who know how to contact them. The focused, low-dvar meditations. These guys make the compilers the OS and the runtime environment. These guys change how your brain works right down at the 1s and 0s. These guys are nibbana.
All of your mind - all of your world - is software. And the software of you is written in D; dopamine.
The key to getting deep is lowering the noise and increasing the signal; lowering dvar and increasing tonic dopamine.
Helpdesk is in an inflatable dingy on the top of a stormy pacific. Useless. Chocolate firemen. This is high dvar; the waves are choppy and you can’t break the surface. Flying fish only.
Level 1 is a little better, but again they’re just boats on the surface. They can cut through some waves but they can’t change the currents, and they sometimes create whorls of their own. These fellas have a bit more tonic dopamine and a few less waves so can get a little deeper and maybe catch a tuna if they’re lucky.
Level 2 is where shit gets real. These are the deep sea trawlers. These are the ones that can begin to plumb the depths and scoop out some monsters you didn’t know were there. You might snag a shark or harpoon a whale. These chaps have a solid weight of tonic dopamine behind them and are unaffected by all but the largest of dvar waves. They get the job done 99% of the time.
Level 3 is your submarine in the Mariana trench. You won’t need it often, but when you do, it finds stuff you never knew existed. This is nibbana; this is maximal tonic dopamine and zero dvar. Very few people ever want or need to visit this level; it’s reserved for the real monsters.
The ocean floor remains unchanged. The system architecture is hardware. You will still have the same memory or processing limitations you always had. But these limitations turn out to no longer be a problem once you optimise your code to run on them.
Most of us were born and we had the standard operating system installed just because that’s what was popular at the time. Windows 98, DOS, whatever. We’ve gone through our lives just patching on top of these legacy systems until they become so bloated that they cease to function. Midlife crisis or suicide, anyone?
But you can optimise the code for the system by using your L2 and L3 guys intentionally. You have to go through L2 to reach the L3ers but once you do… man… you’re going from AS400 to some future shit.
And the thing is: all your programs continue running. You’ve only changed the OS; optimised it so it fits your hardware and front-end properly. Things will run better, faster, smoother. You will run better, faster, smoother.
And the key to all this?
Dopamine.
Lowering dvar.
Moderately increasing tonic.
Being in a safe environment.
The religions were the hackers of the soul. It’s time to revive their regulation methods without the jargon so that anyone can use them to better their world.
