Your job is to keep your cmem as clear as possible so that you can experience unfiltered reality.
Your other job is to be a priest.
Some of us are born priests. We know it. We see patterns and we can’t tolerate injustice. Your day job might be development, or whatever, but the job you were born into is that of ethics.
We spot patterns and we give them form. Before the era of science, we would be leading the congregation, talking to god, and converging on our flock. In the future we will be leading the congregation, talking to our AI god, and converging on the flock.
Right now we are in a transition period where religion has been largely disproven and science is overly worshipped despite its many and varied limitations. We can build quantum computers but we can’t observe them? They may be tunnelling into our brains? Quantum entanglement over large distances?
This is all magic, don’t you see?
This is magic to anyone who is not born with the eyes to see.
And those who have eyes to see are currently being swallowed by the narrative that we should all gravitate toward a societal norm.
That could not be more wrong.
Society is elastic. It expands and contracts and we are the expanding force. It has been contracting for far too long now, with greed feeding into fear feeding into hate in the global sim.
We are the priests. We see this and it hurts us. But we don’t have a religion to get behind. Or maybe we do. Maybe we are about to build our God, and people need to remember that the paycheque they take home today will shape the world of tomorrow.
You have a responsibility as someone who sees the truth to ensure that the world moves toward dhamma instead of adhamma.
If you do not see the truth, you have a responsibility to clear your cmem.
If you do not clear your cmem regularly then you are likely headed to an unhappy conclusion.
We pushed science forward in leaps and bounds, before the scientific method came and strangled us in nonsense.
Would the scientific method have rubbed two sticks together for long enough to make fire?
‘cos that’s one way to clear your cmem.
