ADHD has two components: genetic dysregulation and maladaptive learning.
The dysregulation is not a problem usually - it just means higher degrees of neuroplasticity. The problem is how this is manipulated.
Advertising, flashing lights, and dopamine-hacking gamification - any high-stimulation activity - will result in exaggerate learning in these brains.
The brain spends too long in exploratory mode and not enough time in validation mode.
This results in disparate silos of thought which become very difficult to consolidate into a single worldview.
Over time, these silos become more entrenched, but they can never reach a single satisfactory output.
This causes pain and suffering, head noise and distractibility, forgetfulness and fear.
The way to fix this is to intentionally weaken the learnings of the mind so that they can be rebuilt under a new worldview.
We do this through regulation, as laid out on the nibbana-protocol website.
We are careful with the data diet we consume during this period. The priority is keeping input to a minimum. We only focus on exporting the maladaptive learnings.
Physical regulation will suffice for most of the symptoms of ADHD.
The worldview which will erase your suffering is that of non-greed and non-hatred.
The mind is always deconstructing and reconstructing. What this means is that as we are exposed to advertising and news, horror movies and love, the mind deconstructs and then reconstructs around these stimuli.
This makes us want more and more and more. It makes us crave stimulation. This greed is what causes us pain.
You need to cultivate your mental diet and regulate, write and make art, encourage consolidation of learning.
It is that simple.
It is incremental.
Drugs are an option if you can’t regulate physically.
I will not advise on this front until I have a team underneath me, because I can only speak for my own experience. Drugs are far more difficult to control and habit-forming than behaviour.
If you choose the drug-route, short half-lives are desirable. MDMA is seeing success in trauma trials and cannabis is easy to modulate.
This is not advice. Haha. You do you. God knows I loved both of those.
Dysregulation in itself is not bad. It means you learn hard and fast. This is why a lot of genius-level intellects are diagnosable as dysregulated.
But the ones who stay genius level are the ones who regulate their informational diet.
You are what you eat.
Don’t let anyone force-feed you.

nb. ADHD is so badly defined; need I even say that this is my presentation? Or maybe it's all presentations? I don't know. Part of what I want to do is make the diagnostics data-driven. We have the technology but the current priority is ROI for money invested in drug trials. This needs to change.
